COMMON PITFALL: "Active Duty Referral Errors." Active duty service members always require a referral from their military hospital or clinic. Seeking care without this "Point of Service" authorization can result in significant out-of-pocket expenses.

Yes. TRICARE currently covers secure video-conferencing for therapy and psychiatric sessions, making it easier for busy military families to access care.

Do I have a copay?

Copays (cost-shares) vary depending on your plan and sponsor status. Retirees and families on Select usually have a small cost-share, while Active Duty family members on Prime typically have no cost for in-network care.
