Veteran Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) | Resilience Illinois
Intensive Day Treatment: Authorized Veteran PHP via VA Community Care Network

Partial Hospitalization Program for Veterans

A high-intensity clinical program designed to provide veterans with daily stabilization and trauma-informed recovery without overnight stays.

The Bridge to Full Recovery

For veterans navigating acute symptoms of PTSD, severe depression, or dual diagnosis, standard weekly therapy may not be enough. Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for veterans at Resilience Illinois offers a rigorous, day-treatment model. As an authorized VA Community Care Network (CCN) provider, our PHP provides 5–6 hours of clinical care daily, allowing you to engage in intensive work while returning home each evening to maintain your family connections and support systems.

PHP Core Components

Daily Clinical Support

Structure-driven days including individual therapy, specialized veteran groups, and psychiatric medical management.

Trauma-Informed Skills

Intensive focus on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and EMDR to manage flashbacks, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance.

Medical Oversight

On-site psychiatric monitoring to ensure medication efficacy and safety throughout the stabilization process.

Navigating the PHP Referral Process

1
VA Authorization: Your VA Mental Health team submits a referral for "Intensive Day Treatment" or PHP.
2
Priority Intake: Our team conducts a same-day or next-day assessment to ensure rapid entry into the program.
3
Treatment Immersion: Engaging in a full-day schedule (typically Mon-Fri) focused on clinical stabilization.
4
Weekly Progress Review: We coordinate with your VA coordinator to track progress and adjust care levels.
5
Step-Down Planning: Transitioning seamlessly into our Outpatient or Intensive Outpatient (IOP) levels of care.
PHP PRO-TIP: Partial Hospitalization is often the most effective "reset" for veterans who feel like they are "white-knuckling" through the day. The intensive environment allows for faster symptom reduction than months of traditional hourly therapy.
COMMON PITFALL: "Residential vs. PHP." Many veterans assume they have to "go away" to a residential facility to get intensive help. PHP provides the same level of clinical hours while allowing you to sleep in your own bed.

Intensive Care That Respects Your Life

If you need more support than once-a-week therapy can provide, our veteran-centric PHP is here for you. Contact us to confirm your VA eligibility and secure your spot in our program.
